Your Community Credit Union has grown to nearly 14,000 members and over $100 million in assets because of members committed to the credit union ideal – a financial cooperative owned by members for the benefit of members. At the core of this growth has been a group of members who work on behalf of all of us. They are volunteers who serve on our Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee.
The Board of Directors set policies and the direction of the credit union. The Supervisory Committee ensures the financial stability of the credit union through regular auditing of operational and accounting practices. This unique structure sets credit unions apart from banks – credit unions are truly run by the members for the members!
The credit union is currently seeking volunteers interested in serving on the Supervisory Committee. Volunteering takes time and effort, and is done with no compensation. Any member in good standing, age 18 or older, is eligible to serve as a volunteer. A credit union volunteer is a challenging position with a variety of responsibilities that brings with it tremendous satisfaction in the helping of others.
If you are interested in serving as a volunteer for CVFCU, complete our Volunteer Application Form and return it to the attention of Jo Ellen Shafer.
