In 2014, we were thrilled to add The Cavalier Branch at Jefferson Forest High branch, a Bedford County public school. This school is across the street from our newest branch location in Forest. The Cavalier Branch is a free standing branch inside the cafeteria. It is open for students each lunch period. Like all of our student branches, the goal is to instill the concept of saving and help teach students to become financially independent so they can make smart spending and investing decisions later in life.
The Cavalier Branch staff visit classrooms to teach tips on how to handle student savings and checking accounts. “Lunch & Learn” seminars are offered for students to attend.
Mrs. Jennifer Ferris is the teacher sponsor for this branch. Mrs. Ferris has been involved in teaching personal finance in a variety of ways in the classroom and through school projects.
