Every year, low-income families try to buy vehicles to get to work or for use in conducting essential family business. Many are unable to do so because of debt or credit challenges resulting in high finance rates. If you add in the high cost of a reliable car, many families with limited incomes find car ownership to be out of reach.
Responsible Rides has the solution!
Your Community Credit Union, Freedom First Credit Union, Freedom First Insurance, and Enterprise Car Sales have collaborated with Lynchburg Community Action Group,Total Action Against Poverty and New River Community Action in the administration of Responsible Rides, a car purchase program for low-income families in the local community.
Cars are selected for reliability, mileage, and affordability from the Enterprise Car Sales fleet. Financing is provided by Central Virginia FCU in Lynchburg and Freedom First FCU in Roanoke and the New River Valley.
- No-haggle pricing policy
